A Little-Known Way To Reduce Your Risk For Cardiovascular Disease

February is American Heart Month.

Did you know in the United States, cardiovascular disease claims more lives than cancer and accidental deaths combined?

On average, one person dies from cardiovascular disease every 34 seconds.

This was a lead article in Medical News Today.

It went on to discuss the importance of knowing your cholesterol and blood pressure levels for heart health and more.

However, the article did not mention omega-6 or omega-3 fatty acids, even though research shows that a proper balance between omega-6 and omega-3 fatty acids is associated with a significantly lower risk of cardiovascular disease.

(When achieving this balance, some studies show a 70 percent reduction in total mortality, as a secondary prevention of cardiovascular disease.)

So at your annual physical, why doesn't your doctor talk about how important it is to achieve a proper balance between omega-6 and omega-3 fatty acids?

Is it because it's a natural remedy, rather than yet another drug?

The good news?

There is a simple test that you can take at home, that will tell you whether or not your heart is in the danger zone.
